Vanessa – Lab Manager & Registered Veterinary Technician
An employee of Allatoona since 2002, Vanessa possesses the unique combination of tremendous technical experience with compassionate customer service. She has been part of the veterinary industry since 1998. She has a special interest and aptitude for ultrasound and chemotherapy, and strongly believes in the importance of the human-animal bond. Her staff strives for excellence and high level medical and surgical care. Vanessa enjoys spending time with her son, Austin, her energetic boxer, Ellie, her Labrador, Jimmy, her Pug, Bruiser and her three cats, Tabby, Precious and Emmett.
Ashley – Veterinary Assistant
Ashley joined us in March 2004, starting as a Client Services Representative before moving to the Nursing Staff in June 2006.
Denise – Registered Veterinary Technician
Denise joined us in November 2005 and has been in the veterinary industry since 1997. She has one dog, Chester, a Terrier mix and 5 cats, Tybee, Jezebel, Wilma, B.B. and Julie. In her spare time, Denise loves being outdoors, playing softball and spending time with friends and family.
Leah – Surgery Assistant
Leah joined us in April 2006 and has been in the veterinary industry since 1999. She has always had a great love and appreciation for animals. Leah specializes in surgery and is studying to be a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Her furry family includes Phoebe (Leah is convinced she’s part deer and part kangaroo!), Delilah (Lab mix) and 2 cats, Sarah and Snowflake. All Leah’s pets were rescues from various shelters. In her spare time, Leah enjoys playing with her crazy dogs, camping, reading, and is a very big fan of video games.
Jen – Veterinary Assistant
Jen joined the practice in September 2007 starting at our Trickum Ridge hospital before joining Allatoona in October 2008. She brought with her 3 years experience from an animal hospital in Ft. Lauderdale. Jen shares her home with 2 rescued cats, Pucker and Lois, and her Sheltie Maxie. In her spare time, Jen enjoys camping, hiking and live music.
